Darjeeling Iced Tea
BTC’s Darjeeling is excellent for making iced tea. You can use black as well as green Darjeeling, depending on your personal taste.
We suggest this basic recipe:
- Use fresh tap water (if water quality is poor, use a filter or buy non-carbonated mineral water).
- Bring water to a boil. Let boil for about 1 min.
- Measure your tea. Use about 2 teaspoons (4 grams) per glass of iced tea (6-8 oz) wanted.
- Pour the boiling water over the tea leaves and steep for at least 5 min., depending on the taste you desire.
- Remove the leaves or pour off the tea.
- Fill a tall glass with the amount of ice cubes desired (we suggest to fill about ½ of the glass with ice).
- Add sugar, syrup, or honey to sweeten the beverage.
- You may add a sliced lemon and a sprig of mint.
- Don’t use milk.
- Sip through a straw.
